Hi guys

I've not been on my blog for a while, been busy enjoying my school holiday while the sun is out!

We've recently taken up camping and last week we went camping to Ingleton in North Yorkshire. The purpose of the trip was so I could do some walking to prepare me for my Pen-Y-Ghent challenge. Whilst there we did the Ingleton Waterfall Trail and it was amazing! It was hard work in places but I loved it and the waterfalls were beautiful.

On our way home mum took me to see Pen-Y-Ghent and my first thought was oh no and I was worried I wouldn't be able to do it. But I'm determined and I won't give up!!! I've got a fab set of friends and family who will be with me every step of the way during the Pen-Y-Ghent challenge so I know I can do it :-)

I'm also excited to say that I've been invited to see BBC Radio Sheffield tomorrow morning to record an interview about what I'm doing and why. Then on Thursday I'm visiting Western Park's teenage cancer ward and on Friday the children's brain tumour research center in Nottingham to see where I'm raising money for!

I will up date my blog to tell you how the visits went and how my training is going next week! Thanks for reading!

Personalised t-shirts required

Hi again guys

Im very excited to say that some of the local media have asked if they could speak to me about my Pen-y-ghent challenge, so watch this space!!!  It will soon be the summer holidays which means I have plenty of time to get some training in!

We have had interest from some of my family and friends who want to join me in my training and on the challenge :-) The more the merrier!

We have decided to have some personalised t-shirts made so we can wear them during the training and on Pen-y-ghent.  So if any of you know of anywhere who would be willing to offer us a discount or better yet pay for the t-shirts then please let my mum know jeniupperdine1981@gmail.com. We will be happy to advertise on the t-shirts, and any publicity we do, who has helped us get the shirts made up.

Other exciting news is we have been in touch with both of the charities we will be raising money for and both Weston Park Cancer Charity http://www.wphcancercharity.org.uk/ and the Children's Brain Tumour Research Centre http://www.cbtrc.org/cbtrc/index.aspx are happy to help us publicise the event to try and reach more people!  Im hoping to go and visit both of them soon too!

Mum has found this photo of me and Uncle Peter when we did the Walk as One sponsored walk. This was a challenge for Uncle Peter because his cancer treatment had effected his nerves in his feet, which meant walking could be painful but he completed it!

Who needs superhero's when you have a hero in your family? Uncle Peter was my hero

Fun at Yorkshire Sculpture Park

Hi guys

Today's training has been fun! Me, mum and my nannan have visited Yorkshire Sculpture Park and had a lovely walk around the lake looking at the all the different sculptures! I managed to get in some up hill training and walking on different surfaces which will help me on Pen-y-ghent! Oh and I had to avoid lots of sheep poo!!! Looking forward to going back and enjoying many of its different walks!

Hi guys

I know many of you have contacted us asking how to sponsor me, so here is my Virgin Money Giving page http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/Bellschallenges

Thanks xx

Training has restarted!!!!

Hi guys!  Thank you for taking the time to read my blog :-)

So last night I restarted my training for my Pen-y-ghent challenge.  I've had a 3 week break from walking because I was busy with my dance festival.  It was hard work getting back into walking after the break but I'm glad I have and that I managed to do 11km.

I LOVE nature so I'm really lucky that I live 5 minutes away from the Trans Pennine Trail where I do most of my training.

This is my mum, she is my official camera person and will be taking photos and filming some of my training so you guys can see what I've been up to!

These are some of the short films we had made of my walk last night.  As you can tell I loved the nature around me even "slug valley" and I proved that if you mean to touch a nettle it doesn't sting you!!
